Test Your Cell Phone
Make sure your cell phone supports mp3 ringtones, real music ringtones or real tones by doing this simple test.
Mp3 ringtones are transferred and set up on your mobile phone in three steps.
Step 1. Download free mp3 ringtones from Audiogig.com to your computer.
Step 2. Sideload the mp3 ringtone to your cell phone.
Sideloading is the transfer of mp3 music directly from computers to cell phones.
You will need a software to transfer the mp3 ringtone from your computer to your phone. Motorola's mobile phone tools or mobiledit are good examples of software for Motorola phones.
You transfer the mp3 from your computer to your phone by "Infrared", "Bluetooth", or "Data cable" depending on your cell phone's capabilities.
Note: Consult your phone's manual regarding your phone's file transfer capabilities and the software and hardware requirements (such as data cables).
Step 3. Set up the downloaded mp3 ringtone as the active ringtone of your cell phone. See your phone's manual on how to set up a ringtone.
Call your cell phone and see if it plays.
If you were able to set up the mp3 file as a ringtone on your cell phone then your phone supports mp3 ringtones. Go download some more mp3 ringtones now.
